INTEREST TERMS--PAYABLE ANNUALLY
LOWER RATE BEFORE MATURITY
Maker promises to pay to the order of [payee or bearer] $[Amount to pay] Dollars with interest at the rate of [Interest to be paid]% percent per year payable annually from the date of the making of this instrument or [date]. However, if this instrument is paid on or before maturity, the rate of interest due on the principal shall be only percent [Interest with discount] % per year.
